The Kids Section

Kids' Books

Welcome to the Kids Section at Lehigh Carbon Community College. The Kids section in the library houses books and periodicals catering to the kids aged three and higher. It follows the syllabus in the Early Learning Center located in the main campus in Schnecksville. Lehigh Carbon Community College, including its off-site campuses, is a diverse environment of classrooms, offices, laboratories, recreation and other common areas. Visitors to the campus, including children, and for purposes of this policy children are defined as being fourteen years of age and under are welcomed and encouraged. The kids section also lets them borrow books and educational dvds.

The Reading Area

The Reading area for kids in our LCCC Library is a well-lit spacious space within the main library. It is enclosed with shelves of books for kids of all ages. There is a kid sized seating area in the center of the room and colorful couches by the window. The kids section includes board games and a reading area with books that are recommended by the School district. It also has jigsaw puzzles where the kids can play quietly as well as explore their creative side.

Kids and Technology

Our library has a wide selection of books on current technology for kids. It includes books on electronics, programming and branding in a digital world. Books on electronics include playing with simple circuits and experimenting with electricity. There are also e-books like'JavaScript projects for kids' that gears them up for a roller coaster ride into the world of JavaScript and easy programming with an easy-to-follow, fun and entertaining project based guide.
